North Grenville Launches Second Year of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Fund

North Grenville, ON – The Municipality of North Grenville is pleased to invite applications for the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Fund, initiated by the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee, for the second consecutive year. Residents and local organizations are invited to apply for funding to support initiatives that promote EDI values within the community. The fund is open for applications from May 1 to May 30, 2025.

Mayor Nancy Peckford shared her enthusiasm for the fund’s continuation, stating:

“The EDI Fund is a meaningful expression of our commitment to building a more inclusive, equitable, and welcoming North Grenville. We are proud to support another year of community projects that celebrate diversity and help everyone feel at home in North Grenville."

The EDI Fund offers grants of up to $3,000 per application, empowering local initiatives that enhance EDI practices, strengthen community cohesion, and foster sustainable EDI-related efforts.

With an annual budget of $15,000, the fund is dedicated to supporting individuals and organizations advancing EDI principles in North Grenville.

First introduced in 2024, the EDI Fund has already contributed to meaningful projects that promote equity, celebrate diversity, and build an inclusive community.

Modelled after the Municipal Arts and Culture Fund, which has successfully supported small-scale, affordable, and innovative initiatives, the EDI Fund continues to provide accessible financial support to those making a difference in North Grenville.
