Budget Survey Results

In November 2024, the Municipality of North Grenville launched a public survey to gather residents’ input for the 2025 municipal budget. This survey, which closed January 2nd, provided an opportunity for the community to influence municipal spending and priorities.

Key Findings

The survey revealed strong community priorities in infrastructure, recreation, housing, and economic development. It also highlighted the need to improve public understanding of municipal services and the budget process.

This community feedback played a crucial role in guiding North Grenville’s budget decisions and ensuring they align with residents’ needs and priorities.

Water & Wastewater Budget

The Municipality has approved the Water & Wastewater Budget, ensuring continued investment in critical water and sewer infrastructure. Find budget document under "Key Documents" on this page. Here are the key highlights:

  • Maintaining Affordable Rates – Council has approved keeping the current water rates unchanged.
  • WPCP Expansion – Continued investment in the expansion of the Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) will support ongoing growth and modernize treatment processes.
  • Infrastructure Upgrades – The County Road 43 expansion includes significant water and sewer infrastructure improvements, upgrading existing systems while planning for future growth.
  • Service Enhancements – Projects like Sanitary Main Replacement and Watermain Looping will enhance service reliability and efficiency for residents.
  • Preventative Maintenance – Essential works, such as Well Casing Integrity Inspection and East Quad PS Reservoir Sealant Replacement, will help maintain long-term reliability in the water system.

These investments ensure safe, reliable, and sustainable water and wastewater services for our community.

MPAC Assessment Notice - November 15, 2021 Update

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), responsible for assessing property values in North Grenville, has announced that assessments for the 2022 and 2023 tax years will continue to reflect a January 1, 2016 valuation date. This does not mean property holders will not receive a property assessment notice. If you recently moved or made changes to your property you will receive a notice. The reason for the notice will be provided and can include:

  • new property
  • update to ownership
  • change in assessed value
  • change to tax classification
