The North Grenville Council has dedicated $400,000 to a Feasibility Study that explores turning Bell Hall at the Kemptville Campus into affordable rental units. This redevelopment project aims to bring more affordable housing options to our community.
We’re partnering with Cahdco, a specialized housing development corporation, to lead the project. Cahdco will manage the project, analyze costs, and assess the feasibility of transforming Bell Hall into affordable rental units. This includes exploring ongoing costs, potential partners, and options to keep rents affordable for the long term.
This study will also help us prepare for federal funding, with a focus on opportunities from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).
Stay tuned for updates as we move forward with this important initiative for North Grenville.
