Economic Development Week in North Grenville
The Municipality of North Grenville invites all businesses, residents, and visitors to celebrate Economic Development Week May 6-10, 2024. The Economic Development Department of North Grenville remains committed to supporting the local business community by diligently implementing the goals outlined in the Municipality's 10-year strategic plan. Diverse and Resilient Economic Development is identified as a strategic pillar, guiding our efforts to create a thriving business environment.
In the coming year, we'll be focusing on providing robust business support and working closely with local businesses to connect them to available resources. We will also continue to work with the local tourism sector to implement North Grenville's tourism strategy, further enhancing our community's appeal and boosting local businesses.

What is Economic Development Week?
Economic Development Week is an international campaign created by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) to increase awareness for local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities and increase the quality of life in communities everywhere. Economic Development Week celebrates all things economic development.

CSE Consulting
CSE Consulting is a local resource hub for employment and workforce development hosts training & workshops alongside an online job board that is a key digital resource for both employers and job seekers. The CSE website allows local employers to create an account and submit job postings at their own leisure, while also allowing job seekers to apply for job postings.
Municipal Commitees & Taskforces
North Grenville's Municipal committes explore topics and initiatives closely tied to workforce development. The initiatives that the committees address continue to make progress, through a 360 approach to community and local economy; including housing, transportation, and tourism. We encourage community members and businesses to engage and explore the initatives set out by the committees.
Downtown Kemptville Business Improvement Area (BIA)
BIA's allow local business people, commercial property owners, and tenants to join together and promote the downtown businesses, carry out physical improvements, and promote economic development in their district.
North Grenville Chamber of Commerce
The Chamber network is a resource for business insight and networking. Providing businesses with opportunities to connect with one another, share experiences, and expand reach through events, promtions and online directory listing.
RTO9 - Experiential Tourism & Product Development
The RTO9 is our Regional Tourism Organization covering the South Eastern Ontario region. Providing tourism destination businesses regional insights, resources, and training to support the development of tourism products in the region.
The Economic Development department is responsible for supporting local tourism-related businesses and events through communicating trends and opportunities and through promotions and tourism product development.
Explore Tourism in North Grenville
Some current projects include supporting the development and launch of Follow44.ca a multi-faceted marketing campaign promoting tourism attractions and other small businesses along County Road 44. This project includes website, printed materials, downloadable business resources, social media templates, group media buys and more. The 2024 NG Tourism Guide, and enhancing the tourism signage in Kemptville.
This year, North Grenville is a major sponsor of Kemptville Live Music Festival. Visit us on site July 18-21 for a long weekend of live music. Kemptville Live is known for being a well-run, vibrant, and friendly event. This year’s internationally-known headliners include Burton Cummings, Sam Roberts Band, Glass Tiger and more.

Past Initiatives:
Digital Main Street - At the end of march we wrapped up the Digital Main Street program that ran from 2016 - 2024 providing just under $200,000 in funding to local businesses alongside 1-on-1 digital training for over 100 local businesses.
Support Local Marketing Campaign - This past holiday season you may have seen the support local logo in storefronts, on billboards, and across social media. With the goal of fostering a local first mindset, this Municipal campaign highlighted a wide range of local restaurants, boutiques and services in our community.
North Grenville Economic Development works actively to bring new business investment to the region. As both business leaders and residents of North Grenville, you are ambassadors for the region when travelling or hosting clients and guests, and we are here to support.
